Timing

New teachers should always wear a watch. After a while you know when to start finishing a lesson. I worked in Taipei with a teacher who overran a class by 30 minutes. We were doing back to back teaching so his next class was short change by 30 minutes and so was mine.

    I remember long time ago when I was still a fresh teacher, I'd forgotten the time then overran a training lesson by one and a half hours! So silly me ... but funny was that, the students were very happy because they thought they got the bonus of an hour and a half lesson free!

    I've promised myself - it won't happen to me in the rest of my life!!!

    I did have a watch in Taipei that stopped and restarted an hr later, this made me late for the class. Maybe I should wear two watches !
